The foundation
Udo Granz & the Miss Pepper Gruppe
UPEC Real Estate acts as the strategic investment arm backed by the capital base of the Miss Pepper Gruppe. Founded by Udo Granz, the company has grown over recent decades into an established name in the gastronomy and commercial sector, and today operates 14 locations across Germany.
This accumulated entrepreneurial success forms the liquid, bank-independent foundation of UPEC. Through these family origins we understand the perspective of property owners from our own experience. We think long term, in generations — and by dispensing entirely with external financiers or fund constructions we secure maximum transaction certainty and Hanseatic reliability.
The management
Philip Granz
UPEC is led and operationally steered by Philip Granz. As Managing Director he brings several years of experience as an investment manager to the family office. His focus is commercial steering, underwriting and the value-oriented development of the portfolio.
Whether in the targeted acquisition of residential space in the north or in supporting large-scale projects through joint ventures, Philip Granz is responsible for the entire transaction process — from the first feasibility calculation through to closing. Combining well-founded data analysis with short, owner-led decision paths, he is a pragmatic and reliable point of contact for partners and vendors.
